This is a picture that I took when I was on the island of Ile-A-Vache, a small island of the coast of Haiti. There are no cars, no electricity, and no clean running water. In the picture, a girl is standing with her two younger brothers watching us while we walked by.
Shayle this is such a great shot! I remember when you were developing this and everyone in the darkroom gathered around, haha. I love how you got a picture of one of the houses, it really shows how extreme the situation there is. (this is in florida right? maybe maine?)
All of your Haiti pictures have turned out so nice. But I really like this one. The contrast is great and you have really nice shadow detail with the other children in the door. Good job
Let's just say that I'm obsessed with this picture. All the nature and foliage create such a strong image, and the contrast just makes everything pop out so much more. I love this picture and I would have been very proud to have taken it.
