I took this at Harper College. I thought the angle was interesting and the bricks would give it depth. It was a really rainy day though and I was scared I was going to fall off the ledge I was standing on. I'm pretty happy with it and I like how the ivy turned out.

When Backgrounds Decide to Combine

The first picture is where this homeless carrot, who is a veteran of some vegetable war, sits and blabbers to Ham and Green Eggs about nonsense. I use this background as a simple probably one time or two time use background. It isn't re-used as much because the location would already be shown completely in the scene with the carrot, so if I use it again someone would say, "Hey! Haven't the two already been there?" I would probably deny it and claim that they are silly, but we all know it would be true.

This second picture is a picture I drew of clouds. I use this as a background in the animation I do. It is just clouds because it makes it easy to control this 'layer' so I can re-use it over and over again whenever I need a sky to be shown. There are many other ways to making a sky layer, but this is one way and I think the clouds are adorably fluffy.

The last picture is what happens when you combine them together. See how happy it looks there? Too bad though it's not real.

Lone Apple

This image is of the apple orchard at the Botanical Gardens. While walking around I noticed that hardly any stray apples were laying around on the ground. Someone who worked there told me that as the apples ripen they're picked and donated to a homeless shelter. This is the only apple that I saw rotting on the ground.
This is a photo from a shoot where I experimented with double exposures. I took my friend Steph to several different grave yards to try and capture a ghosting appearance.

nature and snow

This is from a photo shoot i did about how the snow has effected nature. This was a plant in my back yard. I thought that the lighting and shadows were perfect at this time of day.

I did a fashion shoot of my friend Mike. He was really good with posing and didn't need much direction. I did the photoshoot in my basement with a white backdrop, 2 umbrella lights, and a hair light.

I made this illustration by using both Illustrator and Photoshop. For this time, I was interested to the textures of wild animals, like zebras, tigers, giraffes, etc. I tried to use those textures as an accent in the illustration. I hope it worked.

St. Christopher; Protect Us

The two hands are praying and holding a St. Christopher medal for protection. The assignment was for history and I chose to do history in relation to religion.

Factory.

I took this picture for our abstract themed photo-shoot. I wanted to do something related with nature so I decided to shoot trees/tree branches. This was the end result after playing around with the image in photoshop.

Orphans

This is a picture that was taken in Haiti when I went this past summer. These boys are orphans who live in Les Cayes. I went there to help at the orphanage and teach english to the boys and girls and took this picture while the rest of the orphans were playing.
