Orphans

This is a picture that was taken in Haiti when I went this past summer. These boys are orphans who live in Les Cayes. I went there to help at the orphanage and teach english to the boys and girls and took this picture while the rest of the orphans were playing.

I like this picture because it is simple, but still has a lot of different things happening within it. The boys looking all different ways makes it very interesting and it's pretty awesome.

Whoa, you went to Haiti in summer? Oh! That would definitely explain why every single picture you take looks warm and everyone is dressed as if it was really hot. I like how all your pictures of Haiti looks like you traveled all the way to a third world country and you took pictures there and revealed life there to people who don't live in poor countries. Actually to think that these kids live in Illinois is kind of sad D:, because then that means we kind of suck at helping the worse off neighborhoods...I think. Anyways, the natural poses are reeeeallly comforting to look at because I don't feel as if you had them pose at all. I want to give them candy :(

I love all of your photos from Haiti and I wish that there were more. All of your rolls of film were amazing. The contrast in this photo is high quality and I love the poses of the little boys. It looks candid but really natural. Obsesseddd.
